2004-02-24 10:14 a.m. Screw TV You meet the strangest and most wonderful people in the real world. For instance, my boss. Troy started calling him Ichabod Crane and for some reason, it stuck. I think maybe because of his lanky, crane-like appearance. He sniffs. Constantly. In incriments of two. *Sniff Sniff* -pause- *sniff sniff*. It's maddening. And then there is Justin , a new fan of my favorite City in the world. (Columbia). And THEN...there are people who are normal when you first meet them and become stranger and stranger. Like Amber and Tony, who are more and more hermit-y every day and only come over when they've been to starbucks. And don't even bring me a frappachino! And then there are people who when you first meet them are really odd but then your life gets so wacky, they become the normal ones. Like Jay, who studies the path of diseases, which is funny considering his thoughts on his own marriage. You'd have to know the whole story, trust me. The point is I love them all. (except my boss, I only like him ok) I love Justin, becuase he can appreciate all the things I love about Columbia, and I love Amber and Tony, even if they say my house that I worked so hard on is "quaint", and they don't like my boyfriend. I love Jay because of what he's willing to put himself through to be a part of this insane and wonderful country we take for granted. What does this prove? That people change, they evolve. It dosen't mean you don't still love them. |
